Apralyte
APRALYTE is the fast-acting anti-scouring antibiotic against piglet diarrhea. It has 4 gut-active formula, APRAMYCIN, ATTAPULGITE, ELECTROLYTES and GLYCINE-GLUCOSE that provides total scouring solution.
Formulation
Apramycin Sulfate, Glucose, Attapulgite, Sodium Chloride, Glycine, Potassium Chloride, Calcium Pantothenate, Sodium Citrate, Excipients
Indication
For the treatment of neonatal and postweaning scouring and enteritis caused by e.coli and salmonella spp. in piglets.
Contraindication
Do not give in concurrence with aminoglycosides, polymyxins, or oral beta-lactam antibiotics.
Dosage and Administration
1. Sucklings – Mix well 2 level tbsp (6g) in 40ml water. Give 1 mL of the solution per kg body weight for 3 to 5 days
2. Weanlings – Mix well 2 level tbsp (6g) in 1 gallon of water and give for 3 to 5 days. The solution is enough for 5 to 6 weanlings
